Chestnut Day

At 8:30am you are going to meet the other participants and the guide at the Lamone Train Station, we recommend to reach it using public transport, and a bus transfer to Arosio will follow.
The chestnut trail will depart at 9:00am from Arosio and will take you to Vezio. A rich breakfast will be waiting for you at 9:30am in farm along the path located in the woods. At your arrival in Vezio at 12:30pm you will be offered a lunch at the traditional Chestnut Festival, where you will be able to taste the flavours of the Region.
In the afternoon at 2:00pm you will experience the classic "Gra" loading and ignition, a traditional method used to dry and store the chestnuts. From 3:00pm the hike continues to Vezio where you will be able to participate at the harvesting of this autumnal fruit.
The excursion ends at 4:30pm when you will hop on a bus that will accompany you from Vezio to Lamone offering you the chance to enjoy the landscape and its magical autumnal colors. The arrival in Lamone is expected at 5:00pm.
