The Museum of Mummification is located on the Nile Corniche in the north of the Luxor Temple. The museum aims to highlight the techniques of the ancient phoenix art that the ancient Egyptians applied to many creatures, not only to humans. In this unique museum there are mummies for cats, fish and crocodiles. Which were used in that process. The museum was opened by President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak in 1997.
