3-Hour Lyon E-Bike Tour Basilique and Roman Theatre

The tour starts at Lyon Part Dieu business district at the Paul Bocuse markets where you collect your electric bicycle. The tour continues towards the Rhone river along cycle paths.

Here you will see the Basilique, Hotel Dieu and Croix Rousse and take the great river bank cycle paths, see the magnificent cruise ships docked at the Rhone river and even check out a cruise trip. The Gallieni bridge is then taken over the Rhone river to the heart of Lyon UNESCO world heritage site peninsula. The tour continues along cycle paths past the Perrache area and along a pedestrianized shopping district stopping at the Ampere statue and the Bellecour square.

Then another pedestrianized route leads to the Place de La République and statue of the Jacobins. You then visit a popular gastronomy street and head towards the St Jean Cathedral and archaeologic gardens where you are free to look inside before continuing to the St George district, old town and house of Guignol. Then you ascend easily with your electric bicycle to the Fourviere district a tour of the Basilique, Roman theatre where you are free to wander round and admire the views.

You then go down the hill to the old town and wander around the alleys before continuing your Lyon Bicycle experience over the Soane to Terreaux Place, Bartholdi Fountain, Town Hall and Opera.

The last part of your tour is the Tete D'Or botanical gardens and Zoo,where you can find over 2000 plant and tree species including hothouses, greenhouses and pass the Gare Brotteau a beautiful famous train station now disfunctionate and returning to your original meeting point Lyon Paul Bocuse markets where you can take a walk around the Paul Bocuse markets.

Sightseeing stops can be taken whenever the group decides 5 to 10 minutes to visit the Basilique, Cathedral and Roman theater when you are able to give me your bicycle and wander round these sites at your will.
