Adventure of Lyon New and Old by E-Bike

Sorry for a bad review but this one left us feeling glad it was over. The start was disorganized, there was no introduction, the bikes weren't ready, and the guide just started biking away. Other bike tours I've taken, including the day before in Paris, start off with rules of the road, formations/instructions, and and overview. Not this one. When we did stop, Carol had very little information and started talking before the entire group was gathered. She also didn't wait to keep us together, some of us lost sight of the main group due to traffic. There was also no food tasting, and we skipped the Secret Passages altogether.

After two emails suggesting we start early, then changing it back to 10:00, the guide arrived after 10, leading us to wander around the meeting place looking for a guide. Bikes were not great, large and top heavy e-bikes. We had to stop for repair of the seat on one bike. This tour fell far short of its advertising and we feel ripped off. The so called gourmet tasting consisted of the guide leaving us on the sidewalk and returning with a single baguette, a piece of cheese and sliced sausage. The tour of the Paul Bocuse market consisted of pointing it out for us to explore on our own after the tour. The tour lasted barely 2 hours, not 3 as advertised. The guide was unkempt, no yellow t shirt or identification and didn’t even introduce herself. I eventually asked her name (Carol). Luckily the weather was nice and Lyon is a beautiful city but this tour was very disappointing and poor value.
