About this activity
Gear up for your nighttime ride through Lyon with a bike fitting near the Palais de Justice. Your electric bike is comfortable and easy to use, combining manual pedals with a motor to propel you up Lyon’s hills. When you’re ready, set off with your guide through the enchanting medieval streets of Old Town.

The third-largest city in France and the country’s undisputed culinary capital, Lyon is an intriguing city with layers and layers of history. As night descends and the city lights flicker, Lyon takes on a whole new character, and the city streets are yours to explore!

Ride along the floodlit Rhône River waterfront and make your way up Fourvière hill to Lyon’s most iconic attraction, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière. This imposing 19th-century church looms over the urban landscape, and at night takes on a magical glow, serving as a beacon of the city. Enjoy views of Lyon’s bright city lights from your pristine hilltop vantage point.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to a local eatery for a 30-45-minute break to enjoy some regional culinary favorites. Sharing platters serve up tasty bites such as rosette (pork sausage), creamy local cheeses such as St-Félicien, cured ham and sweet cake for you to enjoy, along with a glass of wine, in a bustling nighttime restaurant setting.

Finish up your tastings and hop back on your bike for a ride to Place Bellecour and Place des Terraux, two of Lyon’s finest squares. Admire the illuminated architecture of City Hall, the Palais St-Pierre and the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, and spot the impressive statue of notorious King Louis XIV.

After three hours exploring this beautiful French city by bike, head back to the start point to conclude your tour.
