Mallorcan Cooking Experience with Market Tour and Boat Trip in Palma

About this activity
This day begins at the Cooking School where you’ll discover the secrets of Spanish traditional cuisine with a practical and hands on course. First you will enjoy a guided visit to the old fashioned Santa Catalina Market, tasting local fresh products and getting to know the history behind them, as well as the importance of seasons.
Back to the School’s kitchen with the basquet full of goodies, you will dive into the nature of our Mediterranean culture, cooking and transforming the ingredients into tasty “tapas”, “pinchos” and “boards”. The menu consists of a selection of homemade croquettes, a variety of tapas (calamari, Spanish tortilla, rice in broth), the special local “pa amb oli” boards (selection of sausages and cheeses, olives, tomato, oil). To finish an exquisite traditional dessert: slush of lemons with local herbs.
Don´t worry if you do not have cooking experience, with the help and instructions of the expert chef you can make these dishes, so he adapts the classes to all levels.
When the menu is finished, we’ll enjoy the dishes you have made all together in a beautiful dining room table, with the best atmosphere, good company and a glass of a great wine or beer. Of course, you’ll take the recipes home to continuing practicing and surprise your friends and family with your new skills.
After the course, head to the port to hop on a 1-hour boat trip. Once on board you will enjoy panoramic views of the city and its most relevant landmarks such as the fortress of San Carlos Castle, the Bellver Castle, the Palma Cathedral or the Almudaina Palace. You will admire a unique perspective of the port with the fisherman's wharf, the yacht club, the promenade and a close up view of the luxury yachts, fishing boats, cruise ships and the naval base where the King of Spain has his own yacht. The typical boat has a capacity for 80 passengers, lower and upper deck and bar service.
A relaxing, didactic and tasty tour to spend a different day in Palma de Mallorca, a city that has much to offer in addition to its beaches.
