Day 1: Arrival in Nicaragua

Day 2: TOUR TO RUINS OF LEON VIEJO, CITY OF LEON AND SAN JACINTO BOILERS

Enjoy the experience of exploring the ruins of the Old City of León, the first capital of Nicaragua, founded in 1524 by the Spanish captain Francisco Hernández de Córdoba on the banks of the Momotombo volcano; by several earthquakes and volcanic eruptions in 1610, this city was relocated 53 miles (90 km) north of Managua. Then the 1 hour trip on a scenic road, bordering Lake Xolotlan or Lake Managua, with a breathtaking view of the Momotombo and Momotombito volcanoes. Old City León was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 2000.

Day 3: Tour in Granada, Masaya and Catarina

Departure from the hotel for a tour of the Isletas de Granada: The Isletas de Granada are considered one of the most attractive natural paradises in Nicaragua. It is an archipelago of more than 365 islets in the Great Lake of Nicaragua or Lake Cocibolca, which are presumed to have been formed thousands of years ago by the eruption of a volcano. Traveling in a small boat on the islets is an attractive, fun and relaxed way to travel the narrow canals that separate the islands and appreciate in all its splendor part of the immensity of the Great Lake of Nicaragua.

Next, you will take a cultural walk through Granada: you will get to know the central park of Granada, the cathedral, the chocolate museum, the San Francisco convent, the old Granada hospital.

Day 4: Transfer to Ometepe

Stop At: Isla Ometepe, Moyogalpa, Isla de Ometepe Nicaragua
Transfer to the island of Ometepe: This is an island located in the interior of Lake Nicaragua, you have to take the Pan-American Highway south, for 1.5 hours, then arrive at the port of San Jorge, Rivas where we will take a ferry which will take us for 40 minutes in the lake of Nicaragua, and we will arrive to moyogalpa. Upon arrival to the island our first stop will be Visit to Punta Jesús María: you will live an interesting experience as the waves occur on both sides of this beautiful stretch of sand.

Visit to Charco Verde: This Reserve has many legends and very interesting places like its forest, its trails, its lagoon and its beaches. You can climb El Mirador del Diablo and see the view of the entire reserve and the lagoon, you can also relax or take a kayak ride on its calm and crystal clear beach which is one of the best on the island.

Day 5: Volcan Madera

Stop At: Volcan Maderas, Isla de Ometepe Nicaragua
Transfer to make a trip to the Maderas volcano: the route starts at the foot of the volcano, on lands planted with bananas. While you continue along these trails you can meet petroglyphs that tell us about the ways of life, customs and traditions of the ancestors on the island. The route is hard but rewarding and the reward is to contemplate the beautiful view, the wooded landscape and then descend to the beautiful and cloudy crater lagoon, an exaggeration of nature.

Transfer to Ojo de Agua: This is a natural pool, with waters so transparent that you can see the bottom. It feeds on the waters that emanate volcanic soils and the waters of Buen Suceso River. Surrounded by forest and singing birds is an ideal place to take a dip.

Day 6: Visit to San Juan del Sur

Transfer to San Juan del Sur is a beautiful fishing village is a Nicaraguan gem, a magnet for surfers and bathers. At night, the beach is still active, thanks to popular bars and beach clubs. Here we will visit the statue of Christ of Mercy, which has a size of 15 meters, built of metal and covered with sheets of fiberglass or viewpoint is spectacular.
