Itinerary

Day 1: Beging of the trip

Pass By: Meeting of Waters, Rio Negro e Rio Solimoes, Manaus, State of Amazonas 69005-141 Brazil
: At 07:30 am you will be picked up from your hotel and transported to the Port of Ceasa, where you’ll board our boat to see the magnificent meeting of the waters at the junction of the Rio Negro and Amazon Rivers. From there you will be taken to the small floating village of Catalao, where you will see up close the giant-scaled Pirarucu (Arapaima Gigas). You’ll have the chance to see and feed this giant fish of the Amazon. The trip will continue for 1.5 hours by car on the high-way to the Ubim Lake. From the Ubim Lake, you’ll continue by speed boat on a 30 to 50-minute ride (depending on the level of the waters during the time of year of your visit). Arriving at the lodge, you will be welcomed with refreshments as your accommodations are prepared.

At noon lunch is served. Afterward, there is a little time to relax and to prepare things for the activities of this first day.

At 02:30 pm the group will depart by motorized canoe for piranha fish-ing, bird watching and a wonderful sunset from the middle of the river. After returning to the lodge, dinner will be served at 7pm.

After dinner you will depart again by motorized canoe, this time to spot Cayman. Your guide, using only his bare hands, will capture a Cayman and explain this most-feared animal of the Amazonian rivers. There will be opportunities to get great photos of this beautiful crea-ture.

Day 2: Morning

Pass By: Tucan Amazon Lodge, Res. Tarumã C, Lote 5 - R. Quadra - Tarumã, Manaus - AM, 69022-200, Brazil
: From 5:30am-6:30am, you’ll board a small canoe to witness the awakening of nature with the first rays of the sun as the silence is slow-ly broken by the songbirds and creatures that call this area home. At 7:00am breakfast is served at the lodge. From 8:00am-11:30am, we will be jungle trekking and your guide will explain about the flora, fauna and medicinal plants found only in the Amazon. There is also a chance to observe spiders and other animals. At noon back to the Lodge for lunch.

At 2:30pm the group will depart to visit an indigenous community where you will attend an indigenous ritual celebration of dancing and singing. This is a great opportunity for photos and videos! Next the group will visit the Vazea area of the Ariau River which is a great place to spot some wild life including monkeys and birds. Afterwards the group will return to the lodge arriving at 5:45pm. Dinner is served at 7pm. After dinner the group will leave by motorboat for a night safari with a spot light along the river banks looking for nocturnal creatures.

Day 3: Morning

Pass By: Tucan Amazon Lodge, Res. Tarumã C, Lote 5 - R. Quadra - Tarumã, Manaus - AM, 69022-200, Brazil
: After breakfast, (8am to 11am), the group will explore local streams via kayak. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to not only see but swim with the dolphins, the wonderful and legendary mammals of the Amazonian rivers. This is also a fantastic opportunity to get once-in-a-lifetime photos and video! After your swim, it is back to the lodge for a midday meal.

At 02:30pm we begin our journey back to Manaus with arrival sched-uled at 4:30pm. You tour will conclude at your hotel or the airport
