About this activity
Discover the Rio Negro and the Amazon region by boat on this river tour from Manaus. After pickup from your Manaus hotel, your cruise begins as you float past the Port of Manaus. Observe typical Amazon boats filled with goods to be delivered to the local market, and admire gorgeous views of the city from the water.

Travel along the river, along the Rio Negro to Janauari Ecological Park, located about 45 minutes by boat from Manaus. See the famous Amazon water plant Victoria Regia, and then enjoy lunch at a floating restaurant.

Continue making your way to point where the Rio Negro meets the Amazon River, a spot known as the Meeting of the Waters. Stop briefly to witness this amazing natural sight where the two distinct rivers flow side by side. The contrasting colors of the rivers – black and brown – stay separate for more than 3 miles (5 km).

After contemplating it, tourists return to the Pier, where the air conditioned transportation will pick them up and take them back to their respective hotels.

The tour was held with a flat boat , not with that - two deck - presented in the brochure. This made impossible for us to see the different colour waters flown in parallel, as we were almost at see level with this boat. No dolfins at all and the ecological park was a rather unsafe construction, looking like canopy, of a few meters only! This is Amazonia! Disappointed

Our guide and ship crew were awesome! Lunch was delicious. The jungle, the animals, and the people were unforgettable. We definitely recommend this trip for everyone.

Great knowable guide, and the meeting of the wars is interesting, but the short walk and lunch, great food, we're just too touristy

Nice but you spend most of the time riding on a boat. The meal was great but everything was in Portuguese or Spanish not English so I don't know what was being said other than what the guide would come tell me (which would be a few words) but hours of telling everyone else things in their language

The whole experience is very good. The guide is very knowledgable. We are the only 2 people in our tour that don't speak portuguese. The tour guide has no problem use English to explain the tour to us. The boat is safe and clean and comfortable don't expect A/C. We have seen lot of places and had a chance to motor boat into the flooded florest. There is not much animal to see besides birds and Monkey and a small gator. Its understandable because we are not far deep into the jungle. The lunch is average, it eatable but don't expect too much as they are prepared by the local village people. All in all, its a taste of Amazon in a day comfortably without paying too much and too hard core.

This is a great tour if you only have time for one day on the rivers. You have ample time to sense the immensity of the river systems and the natural beauty of the river because we tour the Januari ecological park adjacent to the Amazon. The staff was very knowledgeable. Great trip for seniors.
