About this activity
Day 1 Mandalay ARRIVAL, Amarapura-Mandalay (-/-/-) – Arrival to Mandalay. Visit to Amarapura including the Mahagandayon Monastery, U Bein Bridge, Mahamuni Pagoda, Shwenandaw Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda and enjoy sunset from Mandalay Hill.
Day 2 Mandalay-Pyin Oo Lwin (Car), Yay Pyan Taung Trekking (B/L/-) – Drive to Pyin Oo Lwin. It will take an hour to Pyin Oo Lwin from trekking point Sin Gaung Lay Village. Yay Pyan Taung waterfall has 7 layers which is beautiful and pleasant with lush surrounds. If time permits, visit to Botanical Garden.
Day 3 Pyin Oo Lwin-Hsipaw (Train) (B/-/-) – Take train to Hsipaw, on a scenic ride over the famous Goitek Viaduct. Disembark at Naung Pain Village and drive to Hsipaw. Sightseeing in the town and watch the panorama from hill.
Day 4 Hsipaw Trekking (B/L/D) – Start from Hotel along Tai villages. Trek on uphill path through hill cultivation field, 2 more villages in marvelous countryside scenery for several hours and reach Palaung village, have local lunch in a house.
Day 5 Hsipaw Trekking (B/-/-) – Down sloping along the path through hill crops for several hours which lead to Mini Natural waterfall and enjoy cold bath for refreshment after trek. The pickup truck is bringing us back to hotel.
Day 6 Hsipaw-Lashio (Car), Lashio/Heho (Flight) (B/-/-) – Visit to Bawgyo Pagoda. If time permits, visit to Market before drive to Lashio. Then transfer to Inle.
Day 7 Inle-Indein (B/-/-) – Sightseeing on a long-tailed boat, visit silk weaving and lotus industries in Inn Paw Khone Village and in Nanpan to witness work at a Cheroot factory, Phaungdaw U Pagoda, Nga Phae Chaung Monastery and floating gardens. Travel to Indein to observe a 17th century Pagoda complex and visit small communities.
Day 8 Inle-Sagar-Pekon (Boat), Pekon-Loikaw (Car) (B/-/-) – Take a boat to Sagar which will give you an insight into a lesser-visited part of the lake. Drive from Pekon to Loikaw.
Day 9 Panpet-Hta Nee La Lae (B/L/-) – Drive to Loikaw, home to the famous Kayan ‘long-neck’ women, known for the brass rings they sport around their necks. Visit to Hta Nee La Lae which is simple farming village with traditional kayah totem poles.
Day 10 Loikaw-Kyat Cave (B/-/-) – Visit to local market, Kyat Gu which local people believe that it was a house of some kind of spirits, Taung Kwe Paogda, Phoperyone Monastery, National Museum and Haw.
Day 11 Loikaw/Yangon (Flight), Yangon Sightseeing (B/-/-) – Sightseeing including Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, the bustling area in Yangon’s downtown, along the Pansodan Street which has many large colonial buildings and Shwedagon Pagoda.
Day 12 Yangon Departure (B/-/-) – Transfer to Yangon airport for departure.
