DAY1: Arrive to Kyaing Tong & sightseeing

Upon arrival in Kyaing Tong (KENG TUNG), capital of Eastern Shan State, transferred to your hotel. After check-in, drive up to Lone Tree hill for a panoramic view over the impressive city. Then go down into the town to stroll in its narrow, winding streets and around the picturesque Kyaing Tong Lake in the heart of town, with charming villas on its sloping shores. Overnight stay in Kyaing Tong.

DAY2: Kyaing Tong (Trekking in Hill Tribes Villages)

MEAL: B/L/-

Drive north to the Akha village of WAN PIN. From there continue on foot and at a comfortable pace to visit Ahn, Akha and Lahu ethnic minority peoples in their villages scattered over the surrounding landscape. Some village houses can be visited, included longhouses where many families live together under a single roofon the higher slopes hills. The gently undulating walk is through fertile and scenic countryside. A picnic style packed lunch will be provided at PIN TAUK waterfall. In the afternoon, drive back to Kyaing Tong, stopping en-route at the Li-Shan village of WAN KWAN to sample the local rice whisky favored by all the mountain tribes of the region. Overnight stay in Kyaing Tong.

DAY3: Kyaing Tong– Loimwe – Kyaing Tong

Drive to Akha village situate 9 km northeast of Kyaing Tong to visit the tribes wearing simple costumes. Proceed overland bumpy drive on a narrow road to LOI MWE located on a mountain plateau. Along the way stops to visit different villages such as Wanlun (Shan villages) to stroll and observe native village simple life; Holup (Akha villages) to explore and see traditional colorful dress and way of living; the NAUNG CHO (WA village) known as the birth place of one of the earliest ethnic tribes of Shan country. Drive to hill station LOI MWE. Visit the Old Catholic church. Return by car to the direction of Kyaing Tong, and visit unique Shan lacquer ware shop which produced in a very delicate way. Overnight stay in Kyaing Tong.

DAY4: Kyaing Tong

Explore the lively colorful and busy Kyaing Tong market. Visit WAT ZOM KHAM , an most impressive among Shan style temple in the city with interior walls filled with Jataka stories of the Buddhist scripture, and visit MAHA MYAT MUNI PAGODA(WAT PHA JAO LUNG) the most glorious temple of Kyaing Tong. In the afternoon transfer to Kyaing Tong Airport for your departure flight to Yangon, Heho or Mandalay.
