Today you take the boat up to Mingun. Mingun is known for its huge unfinished pagoda. Originally the pagoda was supposed to be the highest in the world, but it was partially destroyed by an earthquake.

Stop At: Mingun Bell, Hauptstrasse, Mingun Myanmar
Nearby you can also visit the Mingun Bell, which received its own 'museum' after the earthquake, and the beautiful Hsinbyume Pagoda, which is very different from any other typical pagodas in Myanmar.

Upon arrival back in Mandalay, visit the sacred Mahamuni Pagoda, which is a major pilgrimage site located in the southwest of the city.
