Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVAL TO MANDALAY

Stop At: Mandalay Palace, Mandalay Myanmar
Welcome to Myanmar! Today, we will arrive in Mandalay, the last capital of the Third Empire of Myanmar, which is located in the center of the country, about 668 kilometers north of the Yangon. It is the largest city after Yangon and is both a bustling shopping center and a repository of ancient culture. With the remnants of the ancient royal city, sacred monasteries and numerous other places of interest, Mandalay is a showcase for Myanmar art and architecture and is known as the country's cultural capital. It is also known for wood carvings, silverware, tapestries, silk fabrics and other traditional handicrafts.
Firstly, we will visit to Mahamuni Paya, whose Buddha image is one of the countries most revered. Then, we will continue onto Shwenandaw monastery, of great interest as a fine example of traditional Burmese wooden monastery. We will enjoy a commanding overview of the city from the Mandalay Hill, where you can see an impressive overview of the city and reflect on your day of discovery before returning to your hotel

Opcional: If we have time, we will visit the market of silk fabrics. And Kuthodaw Pagoda, home to 729 marble stone slabs inscribed with Buddhist scripture, which have earned the title of the world’s biggest book.
