Take a trip around the old walls of Intramuros in a horse-drawn carriage called ‘calesa’, and watch history unfold before your eyes as your cochero points out interesting landmarks along the way.
Stop At: Chinatown, Manila, Luzon Philippines
Continue on to Chinatown in Binondo where you walk the whole length of the street full of herbal stores, jewelry shops and other oriental knick-knacks. Drop by an authentic Chinese tea house for some refreshments before finally hailing a ‘tricykad’ to the Philippine National Railway Station, the country’s oldest commuter rail service that was established in 1892. The tour ends with a train ride back to Buendia Station, passing through one of the country’s most densely populated areas. Get off to grab a jeepney back to the port.
