Love this zoo,. Quite a few changes since we were last hear. Lemurs played hard to get but we had a lovely visit. Great they now use paper straws but a lot of other places they can cut back on single use plastic. Still one of my favourite places to visit.
This was a unique experience, they offer two free shows a day where the wildlife actually perform for you in a small setting. You may be dive bombed by an eagle or several other very unique birds as well as experience several other unique creatures. For the cost of the event it is not to be missed. Parking is available at an underground garage across the street for a nominal fee.
Bioparc is a wonderful concept for allowing animals to be seen in their own environment. We went early morning and practically had the zoo to ourselves. The animals are clean and they look healthy. It was is a surprisingly big zoo and an easy walk. The highlight was going inside the Baobab tree to the leaping lemur island. Would highly recommend this hidden gem in an urban oasis.
