Pass By: Marmaris Marina, Marmaris Turkey

Beautiful Marmaris offers a holiday with something for everyone -- nature lovers, sun worshippers, photographers, sports enthusiasts, sailors and archaeologists. Gulet Cruising is - first of all - a lovely escape from the drabness of daily life for a period. With our combined City Tour and Sunset Cruise you will have the possibility to see at least one part of the beautiful surrounding.

After an afternoon browsing the retail delights of Marmaris, you’ll get to top of the experience with a sunset cruise and dinner on a traditional gulet type boat. The tour starts at approx.15.30 and ends around 21.30. After pick-up from your accomodation with our airconditioned vehicles, you’ll head to the renowned local "Turkish Delight" factory. Peruse the great range of sugar-dusted treats before we go to a typical Turkish Kebap House. Learn how to make traditional Turkish Pizza and Kebap. See how the Turkish pizza is done before getting to work on your own creations.

We then will go to the city center to see the Marina, the old town, the Castle area, a Culture & Gastronomy House, a small art gallery and the small shop and the old house of the last shoemaker of Marmaris. From there we will walk few minutes to embark our boat for Sunset Cruise. Please bring your swimming wears if you like, as there is also a 20 minutes swimming stop in the programme.

Ahmet our tour guide is so knowledgeable about Marmaris, it was all so unexpected and a great surprise that we not only did the sunset cruise which was fabulous but Ahmet took us to the gold centre, an art gallery , ( were we met Anthony Hopkins ) look alike. Then on to the last sandal maker in Marmaris, beautifully made. then we went on to a gastronom built in 1937 and restored to its beauty in 2005 and had homemade lemonade, Find Ahmet and do your tours with him

I would definitely recommend this wonderful combination of having a shopping trip and a boat tour. The tour is really well run and informative, with visits to the culture and gastronomy house build in 1937, to art gallery at the old town. It is interesting to see the last handcrafted shoe maker and also the factory where they make worldfamous Turkish Delight. At the end, to relax on the sunset while having a nice dinner on the boat is a unique pleasure which I will enjoy again when I come to Turkey next year. Emily B.

The shopping part of the tour was interesting, but for me the boat cruise was the highlight of the tour. It was a nice comfortable boat with a limited number of clients. There is also a "Sunset Cruise with Dinner" version of this tour, which I will definitely book when I come again to Marmaris in June. Highly recommended...
