2 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Zagora Desert - Private Tour

This is a special and fun journey from Marrakech, Morocco. M'hamid is a part of the Sahara desert that is easily accessible and the whole round trip can be achieved in two days, beginning an early start from Marrakech. Furthermore, the route provides an enjoyable journey to discover many sightseeing sites that are popular with visitors.



On the first day, the drive takes you crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n Tichka way, reaching its peak at 2260m. The stunning landscape of this mountainous region is breath-taking for the traveller. The route takes you to your first stop to Ait Ben Haddou village; an area built on the historical fortresses of Ksar and beautiful Kasbahs. Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant in the village. In the afternoon, the journey will take you toward the Draa valley which involves passing the gateway of Tizi N’ Tnifift (1710m) which historically the famous route for caravans, the Sahara traders from Tumbuctoo. The landscape is ever changing during your journey as you cross traditional villages, Kasbahs and exploring one of the largest palm oasis in the Draa valley. Before the evening sunset, you will reach the gateway to the desert. Camels will await you as you ride in the deeper in the desert and observe the glorious sunset before you reach your camp. During your stay at in your Berber tent, traditional dinner will be served and an evening filled with campfires and music. An early rise is highly recommended to watch the beautiful sunrise above the sand dunes. Traditional breakfast will be served before departing the camp with your camels. The journey back to Marrakech takes an alternative route towards Ouarzazate, visiting the famous Telouet Kasbah, the famous cinema studio and the surrounding area. It’s an ideal place to enjoy a leisurely lunch. You will reach Marrakech in the early evening travelling via the High Atlas Mountain.
