Day 1: Marrakesh - Ouerzazate - Zagora desert
Stop At: Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Douar Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou 45000 Morocco
Departing from Marrakesh with the tour team, driving past the Tizi Ntichka pass (which is about 2260 m), we come through the colourful Berber villages, here you get to see the locals engaging in different activities such as herding goats, trading and the likes. After the Berber villages is the Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou, one of the world heritage sites of UNESCO, you get to explore the village, and learn more about their history and traditions. Its Kasbah has always been a location for shooting movies, most especially Biblical ones, as well as a backdrop for commercial and modelling photo shoots. It’s a very famous site.

Stop At: Musee Theatre Memoire de Ouarzazate, 10 Route Nationale Skoura, Ouarzazate 45000 Morocco
From here, we continue to the city of Ouarzazate, south of the High Atlas Mountains which is also called the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Its huge Taourirt Kasbah, home to a 19th century palace with an eagle’s eye view over the landscape which stretches at a distance. It is one of the most fragrant cities in the world, famous for its role as a major supplier of roses used in the perfume industries.

Stop At: Draa Valley, Zagora 45600 Morocco
We will then cross the North-eastern parts of the High Atlas Mountains to reach the Oasis of Agdz, here, you get to explore the beautiful scenery while driving along the Draa River Valley in the Draa-Tafilalet region of South-eastern Morocco, with its fortified Kasbah and Oasis filled with hundreds of thousands of date palms. The Draa River Valley is said to be the home of the largest palm tree plantation in Morocco and the sight is one to behold!

Stop At: Zagora Markets, N12, Zagora 47900 Morocco
On getting to the Zagora desert later during the day, you get the chance to engage on another adventure while riding a camel. The camel trip begins through the sand dunes, here, you get to witness an amazing sunset as the sun gradually disappears over the bank. Just before dark, we take a relaxing ride with the camels to a Berber desert camp which has been set up in the desert of Nakhla.
After a long day of fun and jampacked activities, you get to enjoy a well-deserved rest in your private tent or you might as well enjoy some entertainment by the Berber locals, stare at the stars and learning the star constellation under a silent, cool and calm environment with a clear sky hovering above.
