7 Day Moroccan Culinary Tour

Day 1: Welcome to Marrakech!

Once you arrive to Marrakech you will be greeted at the airport by our staff. You then will be transferred to the wonderful luxury boutique hotel Riad Zamzam. After check in and after getting refreshed you will have dinner and also get acquainted with our personnel on the ground. Who will answer questions and prepare you for your wonderful 7 day Moroccan Culinary Tour ahead.

Day 2: Magical Marrakech City Tasting Tour, shopping, and eating at the famous Jemma el-Fna nighttime food stalls.

Today you will be going on a private culinary Marrakech city tasting tour. We will try the classics of tangia and tagine both local Marrakchi specialty meat dishes. You will see how freshly baked bread also called (houbz) in local Dareeja is made in the big city ovens. You can see how argan oil is made and sample it with the homemade bread.

Day 3: Essaouira Seafood frenzy tour.

After your breakfast at Riad Zamzam you will be transferred by car to the charming town of Essaouira. A delicious lunch of fresh seafood that is brought in daily by local fisherman will be had.

Day 4: Atlas Mountain cooking class and camel trek.

After your breakfast, you will be transported to the breathtaking Atlas Mountains to your gorgeous boutique hotel Ksar Shama. Today you will learn to make traditional Moroccan mountain tagine. While your tagine and meals are cooking, we will then head off for a 2-hour camel trek. You will see picturesque clay villages, the landscape, architecture, atmosphere, history and Berbers.

Day 5: Ourika Valley donkey trek, waterfalls, and lunch by the stream. 

After breakfast we will drive to Ourika Valley where we will start the morning through this valley by donkey and up into the waterfalls and then visit a traditional Berber family who lives in the valley. After the hike, we go back for lunch by the streams.

Day 6: Asni souk, Imlil walking tour, and outside cooking course.

After breakfast we will head to Asni. On the way we will stop at the souk to see what is in season and decide on today’s menu. We will show you how to pick out the freshest products for your meal and experience how Moroccans do their daily grocery shopping. After shopping at the souk we will continue to our cooking destination in the fresh mountain air. 

Day 7: Back to Marrakech airport after breakfast.

Please note that hammams, massages, and spa treatments can be added at anytime at your own cost. Alcohol is not included in the price but many local Moroccan wines, aperitifs, and cocktails are available. All meals are included. All snacks and water included. All transfers are included.
