Oualidia is well off the tourist trail but well worth a visit if you fancy a recreation day on the coast as part of your stay in Morocco.

Famous for its oysters, delicious fresh seafood and splendid seawater lagoon, for most of the year Oualidia is a dreamy Atlantic fishing town. A long sand bar separates the wild Atlantic Ocean to create a tranquil and very picturesque lagoon. Nearby, the Oualidia estuary is a haven for migratory birds.

On this recreation day, we include a boat trip to explore the lagoon. You’ll have time to unwind on the dune-swept beach and if you fancy something more energetic you can hire a kayak, mountain bike or walk along the coast.
