After meeting your private driver in front of Hôtel Tazi in the old town 'Medina), you'll head to the western part of Marrakech, where your authentic Ramadan experience will take place, at our main tour guide's family house.
First, our guests will immerse themselves in the Moroccan cuisine, and learn how the dishes favored by Marrakchis are made behind the closed kitchens. You'll discover an intimate space full of flavors, spices, aromas.. a space full of life. And the best part ? You're prepare the main elements of the Moroccan Iftar table, which is more than just an evening meal.. A true celebration where locals gather each evening at sunset for a whole month to break their daily fast.
You're participate in cooking the the traditional Harira soup, Msemmen, a delicious pan-fried dough, also known as Moroccan pancakes & the famous bubbly-textured Baghrir (AKA pancakes with a thousand holes)... In a good-natured atmosphere, you'll be guided through the whole process and learn the techniques and the recipes you need to become the MasterChef of the Moroccan Ramadan Iftar table!!
Please note that all our ingredients are wholesome and freshly selected from local producers everyday!
Afterwards, just after sunset, you can enjoy the special Ramadan call (Adhan) for the Maghrib prayer from the roof of the house. You can witness locals rushing into their homes to be on time for the evening meal with their families.
You'll then experience something truly unique.. the Iftar with your guest family. It's time to enjoy tasty and hearty meals, and to learn a lot more about the Moroccan culture, customs and even secrets! Be ready for an unforgettable moment!!
