About this activity
Meet your guide at 9 am in front of your hotel in Marrakech and board your private car. After about four hours of driving, you will arrive in Ouarzazate and visit the old Kasbah of Taourirt. Take your time exploring the narrow pedestrian streets on your own. Afterwards, have a look at the movie museum, located on the other side of the road. Continue to the Atlas Corporation film studios, where you can discover the diverse sets and listen to the anecdotes about multiple actors and movies, such as Gladiator, Babel and Prince of Persia. Travel a gravel road to Aït Ben Haddou and have a look at the fortified city wall used Gladiator. This famous clay city with numerous Ksars and Kasbahs is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. After, your private 4x4 will bring you back to your hotel in Marrakech in the evening.

This is a very long trip but worth it. We were picked up at our resort and travelled to Ait Ben Haddou. We made a couple of washroom stops on the way. Driver was punctual, safe driver, spoke English and polite. He found us a guide at Ait Ben Haddou and we paid 15 euros. It was well worth it. The guide showed us and explained the Kasbah and we even went to his home! We spent about an hour or so there and then back into the van and off to Ouarzazate. We had lunch across from Taourirt and it was delicious. We ate on the patio overlooking the Ouarzazate. After lunch we had time to visit Taourirt. If you enjoy looking at ancient sites you will like this too. Returning to Marrakesh, we had a photo stop at Taoulifoute, an abandoned Kasbah but not as old as Ait Ben Haddou. Overall the trip was wonderful and well worth the time.
