About this activity

Enjoy a complimentary hotel pickup and transfer from your accommodation to our launch area in Palm Grove. Before the flight, you will enjoy the preparation of the balloon and you will take part in a short safety briefing. Then, you’ll be ready for your flight.

The flight duration is approximatively 1 hour and it takes place in the morning, on sunrise time.

Your professional pilot will provide expert commentary along the way. After the completion of your flight, you will enjoy a Traditional Berber breakfast in our Moroccan tent.

In the end, enjoy the transfer back to your hotel in Marrakech.

The total time allocated to the activity is from 4 to 5 hours.

We were collected as advised by a lovely driver and taken to the takeoff site where we had delicious croissants, mint tea or coffee. The whole team were friendly and told us what to expect. The pilot was clearly very skilled and the whole team worked together so efficiently to make a memorable experience. The flight was amazing reaching 5000 feet the views and sunrise were stunning. It was a lot warmer than I had expected and a hat is definitely advised. After an incredibly smooth landing (better than most airplane flights) we where returned to the take off spot and served a plentiful and tasty breakfast. The ‘catering’ crew were attentive to top up drinks, plates etc. I would highly recommended this trip.

Communication before our trip was very good. Hotel pick up was prompt, and the driver was very friendly and chatty - taking time to talk to everyone and translate conversations so nobody felt left out. When arriving at site, greeted with coffee and a croissant, again the team were very friendly. However, when we went up in the baloon, the pilot used controls to circle around the launch site for the majority of the ride, and we did not gain much height. This was especially disappointing as there were 5 other baloons taking off in the area that went much higher, and travelled further (not massively, due to low wind, but still further). When i questioned the pilot during and after the ride, he suggested the low height and circling were for safety reasons - but this did not make sense to me as all the other baloons seemed to provide the experience I would have expected, and would be surprised if they were operating unsafely in such gentle weather conditions. When i questioned the driver on our way back to the Hotel, he reitterated the pilots advice and concluded that it was ultimately a decision for the pilot to make. After the ride, my daughter started to feel unwell (too many late nights + the early morning) the team were very attentive in making sure she had some water and was feeling better. The Berber breakfast was nice, with plenty of different things to enjoy. Generally I found the experience good - except the baloon ride ...... the main part. Having spent a lot of money to go on this trip and looked forward to it for a while, my family were left feeling underwhelmed.
