NOMADIC BERBER MIGARTION MOROCCO 11 DAYS

Day 1: Marrakech

 Transfer from the airport, spend the first night in a hotel in the centre of town and meet your fellow travellers at a pre-departure meeting at 6:00pm.

Day 2: Cascades D’Ouzoud-ait bougmaz valley

Transfert by minivan to see the magnificent Cascades D’Ouzoud.After lunch in Azilal we continue on to the nomad’s camp in IKIS, to meet the Berber family . BLD.

Day 3: IKIS – Izourar plateau 2525m

 Trek to the plateau of Izourar which is a large flat area get full by water in spring time after the snow milt. We are going to cross the plateau and continue our trek with the nomads to get to our evening camp in the other side of izourar plateau. BLD

Uphill: 550m, Downhill: 50m, Trekking hours: 5h

DAY 4: Izourar–Tizi –n- Igourane 3200m-Tzi tamgmart:

After breakfast we will continue our nomadic migration and we will trek over Tizi-n-Igourarne 3200m, which will give us a great opportunity to admire breathtaking sceneries of Mgoun valley camp in Tamgmart. BLD.

Uphill: 650m, Downhill: 500m, Trekking hours: 7 h

Day 5: Tizi-n- Tamgmart (2976m)- akka- n- majdag. 

Today as well we will pass by many nomad families belonging to different tribes, Once we get to our camp we will have a chance to see our Berber family preparing their traditional bread. BLD.

Uphill: 50m, Downhill: 300m,Trekking hours: 5h to 6h

Day 6: Akka-N- Imejdag 2380m-Tizi-N- Toudadt.

Enjoy spectacular views of the high Atlas where you can notice what water and erosion created in the mountains over millions of years. We will trek down to Tizi-N- Toudadt where we will camp. BLD.

Uphill: 550m, Downhill: 550m, Trekking hours: 4h

Day7: Tizi-n-Toudate 2800m- imjgarne 1800m

Today is short day trekking but we are going to live an amazing experience with our nomad family by helping them to bring water from the wells. BLD.

Uphill: 50m, Downhill: 350m, Trekking hours: 3h

Day 8: Imejgarne– Aït Youl Dadès 1600m.

Today we will continue our gradual daily descent towards the Dades Valley, where we’ll camp for the final night.

Uphill: 200m, Downhill: 400m, Trekking hours: 4 h

 Day 9: Ait Benhaddou - MARRAKECH

we head back to Marrakech visit Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a ‘fortified city’. BLD.

DAY 10: MARRAKECH
