The tour was very good. Nasser is good guide and showed a lot of good places. The Camp was great too.
This is a really long drive so be prepared! We went through Ouerzazat, Zagora and Agadz to get to M'Hamid. There is another two day trip that goes through Merzouga. Despite the long trip though it was worth it. The journey back and forth from the desert was beautiful and you get a sense of the country as you pass through the various towns. There were plenty of stops along the way so it didn't feel like we were just driving. We got to the desert in the evening allowing for the camel rides to be in much cooler weather and more enjoyable. The camp set up was also well done. There was food, music, a campfire, and lots of stars. A special shout out to our guide/driver, Jamal. He was warm, pleasant, sociable, and polite someone who loves his job and showing his country to others. We were with him for the two days and he made it a truly memorable experience. He kept our children entertained throughout the drives, telling jokes, being playful, and providing relevant information. In fact, he happened to be in Fes later in the week at the same time as us, and they insisted he come spend some time with them! Jamal embodies the graciousness of the Morrocon culture and we recommend him highly!
