Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech => Ait Benhaddou => Nkob

Stop At: Tizi n Tichka, Imlil Village, Ouarzazate 45000 Morocco
Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation in the morning, 8am. After driving through the picturesque views of the High Atlas Mountains, our first stop will be at a view point Tizi N Tichka (2260m high) the highest point of Atlas Mountains accessible by car, with panoramic views of the breathtaking landscape with Berber villages.
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Douar Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou 45000 Morocco
At midday you'll arrive to the famous fortified city of Ait BenHaddou - the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech in present day Morocco. Travel back in time with our local official guide taking you around the kasbah. The Ksar of Aït-Ben-Haddou is a striking example of southern Moroccan architecture. Listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site, it has also been the backdrop for many Hollywood productions.

Stop At: Draa Valley, Zagora 45600 Morocco
The journey continues through the beautiful southern landscape of black canyons and cliffs, home to ancient Berber tribes of Ait Atta.

Despite many years of drought, the palm groves and henna fields are stretching along the horizon.

Our drive will continue through 45 mudbrick ksars (fortified villages) surrounded by charming palm oasis. The area has its ancestral importance and its key role in the caravan trade route with Timbuktu.

In the evening our journey will end in the charming town of Nkob.

One of Morocco’s best-kept secrets, this Berber oasis is where you can still find traditional craftsmen at work. The name Nkob comes from a cave in the area that once served as a nomads. Beyond town lies the deep green palms of the oasis and the stunning mountains of Jebel Saghro.

Enjoy the traditional locally made dinner at your accommodation overlooking astonishing palm grooves.

Day 2: Nkob => Erg Chebbi => Sahara Desert

Stop At: Draa Valley, Zagora 45600 Morocco
After breakfast in the charming surroundings of palm oasis, we will head on south towards various desert towns, famous for its palm dates and henna fields, also a starting point of the ancient trading caravans route crossing the Sahara. Straight on we will continue to Merzouga desert driving through a spectacular rocky desert landscape.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Erg Chebbi Dunes, Morocco
After arriving to the charming desert hotel we will go camel riding through the majestic dunes of the great Sahara desert. Guided by the local herders we will watch spectacular sunset over the desert. Before spending a night in traditional nomads tents we will be served a delicious dinner followed by live Berber music around the campfire.

Day 3: Erg Chebbi => Todgha Gorge

Stop At: Erg Chebbi Dunes, Morocco
Early morning start we will go camel riding and watch the sun rising over the great Sahara. Our journey then will continue to the hotel for locally made breakfast.

Stop At: Gorges du Dades, R704 Gorges Dades, Boumalne Dades 45350 Morocco
Our drive through the Dades Valley and the Dades Gorge will definitely be one of the most spectacular places you’ll visit.

The landscapes of red coloured canyons formed by the Dades River are really unique.

There are plenty to see inside the Dades Valley: Including the breathtaking Dades Gorge, the spectacular winding road.

The beginning of the Dades Gorge is just a few kilometers after the town Boumalne Dades. The Gorge is 45 km long and formed with the most dramatic red rocks formations.

The contrast between red rocks colours and green oasis with the palm groves is truly breathtaking.

Tisdrin, a Berber name that means stairs, is located on the mountain range of Anti-Atlas between the oasis of Boumalne Dades and Msemrir, a mountainous small village.

Enjoy the view of one of the most winding roads in the world, Drink a Moroccan mint tea at the beautiful café-restaurant overlooking the canyons.

Stop At: Todgha Gorge, R 703 near the town of Tinerhir, Tinerhir 45520 Morocco
Our journey continues through the red-colored walls of the Dades Valley, also known as a Road of a thousand Kasbahs.

The majestic canyons that range up to 500 meters stretch 160 km (100 mies) from Ouarzazate to the east of Tineghir. The winding road offers stunning views to the gorge and historic kasbahs. We will pass old Berber villages and stop at the major viewpoints to inhale the dramatic landscapes.

The Todra Gorge is probably one of the most impressive canyons in the world. Additionally you have the possibility to explore the beautiful oasis in Tinghir.

Charming Dades Valley will be our overnight accommodation, with locally made dinner.

Day 4: Dades Valley => Marrakech

Stop At: Taourirt Kasbah, Avenue Mohammed V, Ouarzazate 45000 Morocco
After locally made breakfast in the charming surroundings of Dades Valley, we will continue our journey north to the ancient town of Ourzazate. Our local official guide will take you to discover this beautiful town. Nicknamed The door of the desert, Ourzazate is chiefly inhabited by Berber-speakers, who constructed many of the kasbahs (locally known as: iɣeṛman) and buildings for which the area is known. You'll have a chance to visit the most impressive kasbah - Taourirt. Originally built in the 19th century, it was owned by the el Glaoui clan, a family that had a powerful stronghold of one of Morocco’s most significant southern caravan routes to West Africa.

Stop At: Atlas Film Studio, Km 5, road of Marrakech BP 28, Ouarzazate 45000 Morocco
After delicious locally made lunch, you'll be taken on tour to the famous Atlas Film Studio in Ourzazate, the world's largest film studio.

Enjoy locally made lunch in the spectacular Rose Valley with the views of the colourful surroundings.

Our journey back to Marrakech will then continue through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Once again, you'll have a chance to admire the stunning views of this magnificent colourful landscape.
