Stop At: Le Val d'Argan, Route de Casablanca, Ounagha 44133 Morocco
Along the way we pass the town of Ounara or Ounagha where the vinyard Val d'Argan is located. Here you can use a delicious lunch combined with a wine tasting. You can also buy many types of wine, organic and normal, in all price ranges. The owner of the winery originally comes from Chateauneuf du Pape in France that he left some 35 years ago to start a new life in Morocco.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Afous Argan, Route de Marrakech Commune Ounara, Essaouira 44000 Morocco
On the way to Essaouira you see many Argan trees in which goats sometimes climb to eat Argan fruits. There are also many Argan cooperatives on this route where Berber women process the dried Argan fruits to extract oil from them. They can make many products from Argan oil for both consumption and cosmetic purposes. Examples are Argan face oil and cream, Argan oil for in the lettuce and Amlou, a kind of peanut butter with Argan oil and honey.
At Afous you can also get the famous fig-cactus oil, the most expensive and most powerful oil in the world, specially meant to treat wrinkles and pigmentation.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Medina of Essaouira, Beach Essaouira Beach, Essaouira 44000 Morocco
In the old Medina of Essaouira you will find many old streets with beautiful old houses and shops. The colors white and blue dominate. Luckily there are few scooters driving around so it is not noisy and you can watch in peace what the many tourist-oriented shops have to offer. There are also many restaurants where you can eat lunch very well.
You also can walk along the long beach of Essaouira. Because it usually blows in Essaouira you see many kite servers. A good idea is to choose one of the beach clubs for lunch, possibly combined with a sunbath.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Essaouira Fishing Port, Essaouira 44000 Morocco
In the beautiful old fishing port of Essaouira you can see the small blue boats with which the fishermen catch sardines. Typically Moroccan men also work in the port who repair fishing nets.
