Private Day Trip to Essaouira from Marrakech

After breakfast, we will come to pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech and drive to Essaouira, formally Mogador. En route you will see many Argan trees, important to the region both economically and ecologically. You will also see local goats perched in the trees feeding on the fruit and leaves.

At the Women’s Co-operative of Argan Oil there will be an opportunity to learn about the wide-ranging applications of the oil from cosmetics to medicines.

On arrival in Essaouira, you will be able to visit the ramparts called the Skala, one of Essaouira’s main attractions. You will also see the Mellah, the former Jewish quarter, and the Medina. The pedestrianised Medina is a Unesco World Heritage site with beautiful arts and crafts to be found, including objects carved out of local Thuya wood.

You will be able to sample fresh local fish for lunch and enjoy the Atlantic- facing sandy beach.

After your visit to Essaouira, we head back through the countryside to Marrakesh where you will arrive back at your accommodation.
