About this activity
Meet your guide in the morning or in the afternoon and enter one of the oldest neighborhoods in the region: “Le Panier”. Explore its monuments, going through the new Hotel Dieu, which opened for the event “Marseille Provence 2013” during which the city was named the European capital of culture.

Then, you will take the ascent of Accoules in order to get to the “Place des Moulins” and learn about its wonderful history with your guide who will be happy to answer all your questions. Your tour finishes at Le Panier district, just two steps away from the Mucem museum, new icon of Marseille. The Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations is one of the most visited places in Marseille, thanks to its modern architecture linked to the Fort St. Jean. This monument presently offers many beautiful exhibitions and shows. This tour will help you to understand and witness the modernization process that has been taking place in Marseille since the last few years.
