Stop At: Mazatlan Van Tours, Mazatlan 82110 Mexico

Your first stop will be made at a rustic brick factory where bricks are made by hand, located at the banks of the Presidio River just outside of Villa Union. Continuing on through the town of Villa Union and East to visit Malpica, a small community where two friendly families started their home businesses: A rustic oven bakery and a handmade artistic floor tile shop using a tile press over 100 years old handed down through his family for generations.

The following town was founded in 1565 by the Spanish conquistador Francisco de Ibarra, who was the pioneer of the mining industry in the state of Sinaloa and this village was strategically settled near the silver and gold mining sites. Concordia is a very industrious town; its residents make their daily living working in furniture factories and potteries. Beautiful colonial architecture can be admired here, the most emblematic buildings are: The San Sebastian’s temple made of pink stone, the French style city hall and the main plaza with a huge rocking chair up front.

After enjoying the colonial towns in the Sierra Madre mountains, you will return to Mazatlan to see the most important and interesting areas, Old Mazatlan where you will have the opportunity to wander each area to get the feel of each point of interest, like at the lookout hill where you will be amazed by the views of the city and the highest natural lighthouse “El Creston”, don’t miss the stop at the cliff divers to watch the brave diver plunge into a mere 8 feet of water from 45 feet high.

Stop At: Mazatlan Cathedral, Calle 21 de Marzo 21 Plaza de la Republica, Mazatlan 82000 Mexico

Then travel through time while going from the historical center with its narrow streets and quaint plaza to the center of downtown Mazatlan where you will find the Cathedral and main plaza, take your time here to enjoy the beauty of the “Immaculate Conception” church and maybe do some shopping at the central market only one block from the cathedral. Now it’s time to enjoy a delicious authentic Mexican lunch before heading back to your hotel.

Excellent tour. Eduardo our guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable and super friendly/attentive. We especially enjoyed the trip through the Mazatlan countryside. We saw multiple artisans at work - brick makers, tile makers, bakers, and even a hot spring that locals use to wash their clothing. Highly recommend this tour for those new to Mazatlan...and even those not so new who have never ventured beyond the golden zone or old town.

Tour was outstanding and Eduardo was an exceptional tour guide!! I use a wheelchair and have mobility issues. Eduardo was there to assist me and pushed wheelchair throughout tour. He is a wealth of knowledge of the area. The day was delightful and we are glad we chose this tour. Best day of our wk.

Our tour guide Juan was non-stop informative about everything we saw on this tour. Very nice if you like to see more than just the city. Juan was flexible to our desires and instead of a mexican lunch we had the best shrimp at El Muchacho Alegre over the beach in town.

This was a great tour! We would recommend to everyone. We LOVED Juan Carlo. He was the best. He was knowledgeable and gave us as much time as we wanted at each stop. I was busy writing about the experience the entire time and he didn't hesitate to repeat or elaborate when ever I asked. Each of the stops were interesting and well worth the trip. Not to mention the treat we received in Concordia-- You will have to take the trip to find out

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We have been to Mazatlan several times and have been on a Tour of the Old city before. We decided on this tour as two of our fellow travelers were new to Mazatlan and that it was a small group tour. Our driver sorry I cannot remember his name met us at our hotel prior to our pickup time he was early, as he stated he preferred to wait for us than the other way around, we were also the only ones in our van there were 6 of us. He was very knowledgeable and provided additional insights into Mazatlan of things and areas that we previously had not heard about. We started off the tour driving to and through Old Town with our driver explaining all the points of interest as we went. From there we departed the city to the towns of Villa Union and Concordia, stopping along the way to see how bricks are made by hand this was extremely interesting, how traditional hand made tiles are made and then a stop at a home bakery we enjoyed many of their delicious breads at very reasonable prices. Our group enjoyed the tour and we recommend this tour to first timers or even those that have been on other tours.

Went on the tour with Ismael. He did a great job showing us around and providing a lot of history and local custom. Answered any question we had. Stopped by the most amazing little bakery in a back room of someone's house. Wood fired oven. Smelled divine. By far the best Mexican bread I have ever had. Back streets of old town and see a couple of little churches as well as the big cathedral. Very worthwhile excursion. Very new and comfortable van.
