Experience one of the worlds most important and biologically diverse conservation areas - the Gunung Leuser National Park in Sumatra, Indonesia. Here live some of the planet’s most endangered and exotic species: tigers, rhinos, elephants and orang-utans. Although the likelihood of seeing most of these celebrity animals is remote, you have a good chance of seeing orang-utans, and you can be sure of encountering plenty of other primates, such as macaques, siamang, gibbon or the endemic Thomas-Leaf-Monkey.
On a ethical jungle trek you can expect:
Well chosen, Licensed guides that know the worth of the jungle and do NO CALLING, NO FEEDING, NO TOUCHING of any wildlife. But don’t worry, you will still be able to take some pictures from a distance that is safe for you AND the wildlife.
