Multi-Day
About this activity
Day one pick-up from your accommodation at Melbourne or Geelong, you travel towards Warrnambool, stopping along the way at Mount Leura lookout and Hopkins Falls. You will then go to Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve to view some koala, emu, and kangaroo. Explore this massive volcanic feature by taking one of the five self-guided walks. Each has a different theme. Spot some local wildlife and learn about the Aboriginal heritage of the area at the Worn Gundidj Visitor Center, you might even learn to throw a boomerang. Visit Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village, which is a maritime museum and outdoor village. The village provides a glimpse into the maritime lifestyles and trades of the 1870’s era, the peak of Australia’s maritime heritage. Visit Logan's Beach for whale watching (June to September). Almost every year between June and September, female southern right whales return to the waters of Warrnambool’s Logan's Beach to calve. They can be viewed from a specially constructed platform. At Deep Blue Hotel and Hot Springs, there will be two course dinner. At dusk we go to the Light show at Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village.

Day 2 After breakfast we drive along The Great Ocean Road, visiting Port Campbell National Park; Twelve Apostles; London Bridge, a natural bridge formed by a gradual process of erosion, before it fell down in 1990; Loch Ard Gorge, another natural formation that has also been a popular television and film location; and much more. On to Maits Rest rainforest walk. If you like beautiful ferns and lush rainforests this rainforest walk will delight you, complete with boardwalk. View koalas and parrots at Kennett River. You will also visit Teddy's Lookout and Memorial Arch, and see kangaroos at Anglesea, a beautiful coastal region known for its natural wildlife.
