Day 2: Murray River Cruising

THURSDAY

Departing at 11.00am from your the Pan Pacific Hotel, Melbourne you travel to Echuca via Nagambie. Time to explore the many shops, pubs, cafés and historical Port of Echuca before your cruise departs at 6.00pm

Departing Echuca up river past the imposing Echuca Wharf & Bridge dating back to 1878, you have time for a relaxing drink from the bar or a visit to the wheelhouse to see the Skipper

as the sun starts to set over the river. Tonight, enjoy a chef prepared dinner as PS Emmylou cruises under floodlight where you’re sure to see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Watch

for kangaroos, wombats, egrets, kookaburra’s and many other species of birds as the river banks glide by before Emmylou pulls into our overnight mooring a Horseshoe Lagoon.

Day 3: Murray River Cruising

FRIDAY

Wake to an early morning walk on the raised boardwalk overlooking the lagoon, home to native birds, plants and wildlife before enjoying

breakfast. This morning we depart on a half day excursion travelling 30 minutes to the small town of Barmah, departing on your 1.5 hour

guided Eco Cruise, where you can get up close to Australian nature and wildlife. You will understand why they have been named

“ Wetlands of International Importance” as you slip quietly across the water in the dappled shade of towering gums of the world’s largest single stand of River Red Gum. We then visit

one of the region’s top food producers, Pacdon Park, where you can sample their fine UK small goods and hear from the owners followed by lunch at Morrisons Riverview Winery where you

will enjoy complimentary tastings of their fine wines followed by a 2 course lunch. Tonight enjoy a fabulous dinner. Your then

welcome to join your fellow passengers around the roaring campfire to watch the stars appear in the stunning night sky before retiring for the evening.

Day 4: Echuca - Return Transfers to Bendigo / Melbourne

SATURDAY

Wake to an early morning walk along the riverbank as native Australian animals are starting their day or relax over breakfast as we cruise back to Echuca arriving at 9.30am where we reluctantly say farewell.

If you have chosen return transfers to Melbourne or Bendigo your vehicle will be waiting for you. Return time to Melbourne is Saturday 2.30pm.
