Eat & Drink Your Way Around The Bay small group tour

Let us take you on a scenic food and wine journey around Port Phillip Bay, the bay our great city is situated on.

‘The Bay’ as we affectionately call it is flanked by two of Australia’s most highly regarded food and wine regions, the Bellarine & Mornington Peninsulas.

Firstly we meet at our convenient central pick up location then head west out of Melbourne towards Geelong stopping by its beautiful waterfront and gateway the Bellarine Peninsula, an area that is becoming known as a true food and wine destination. The Bellarine has for a long time now been producing magnificent wines. We make a stop at our first winery for the day, Terrindah Estate, with sweeping views of the bay and an included wine tasting.

Next stop is historical Queenscliff. Here we stop at the beautiful Queenscliff Brewhouse where you get a choice of sampling either local wines, locally brewed craft beer or locally brewed cider, the choice is yours.Then onto a delicious freshly prepared lunch. Every dish on the menu showcases the best of locally sourced, seasonal produce. Here you also have the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of local produce to take home – from handcrafted chocolates, to cordials, sauces, beers, pickles, honey and wine.

After lunch we take a leisurely ferry ride of 40 minutes across Port Phillip Bay to Sorrento and the famous Mornington Peninsula. A scenic journey, occasionally accompanied by seals and dolphins alongside the boat. Keep your eyes open!!

From Sorrento we drive up to the highest point of the Peninsula to Arthurs Seat. Here we will stop for sweeping panoramic views across the bay. On a clear day you can see all the way back to Melbourne across the water. Here we are in the heart of the peninsula, known for its fine agriculture. Green rolling hills, vineyards, orchards and vegetable crops all sandwiched between the wild waters of Bass Strait and the Bay.

We then make our way to Main Ridge Dairy, a locally run goat farm and dairy. Here you will sample a fine selection of award winning local artisan cheeses all produced on the farm.

Then onto your final winery, Red Hill Estate. One of the Mornington Peninsulas finest wineries with sweeping views nestled in the rolling hills of the peninsula.

We then make our way up the eastern shores of the bay stopping at the historic, colourful bathing boxes at Mount Martha Beach before making our way back to Melbourne, arriving between 6 and 6.30pm where we will drop you back at your accommodation in the City, Docklands or Southbank. With a maximum of only 11 guests on tour, this is a genuine Small Group Tour.
