Horses, Wine and Beer Tour

Start your day by enjoying a morning tea at Living Legends, an old homestead farm and race horse retirement village, home to your favorite champion Race Horses.

At Living Legends, part of the Woodlands Historic Park, you can meet your favorite retired champion race horses such as Fields of Omagh, Might and Power, Silent Witness, Better Loosen Up, Rogan Josh, Apache Cat, Chief De Beers, Brew and Paris Lane, as well as recent additions, 2007 Melbourne Cup Winner Efficient, and his old mate Zipping. In addition, you will be able to see kangaroos jumping around in the park where they live in their natural environment.

After your tour, enjoy a wood-fired pizza lunch and a wine tasting at Gisborne Peak Winery, located within the Macedon Ranges wine region, a recognized cool climate wine growing region. Then, head to Holgate Brewery, a classic country pub with a range of classic beer styles, full in flavour and rich in character. You will have the chance to see a microbrewery in action! Before heading back to your hotel, take a few moments to meander down the main street of beautiful Woodend or enjoy your beer by the fire or in the beer garden.
