Excellent tour with great guide, very knowledgeable and great fun. However, it was a sheer fluke that we got on the tour at all. Viator confirmed the departure time of 8.30am, to meet at Port Melbourne and that the ‘tour departs within walking distance of the cruise’. I had previously advised Viator that we were not on a cruise. So we got a taxi there early, waited around, no one came. I rang the number on the booking the night before and on the day, but no one answered. We asked someone passing if they knew about the tour and by sheer fluke, he knew the driver of the tour. He rang him and left a message saying that we were waiting for that tour at the port. Our tour guide rang back and I spoke to him, he had been waiting for us outside our hotel, 20 minutes away. He came straight to the port to pick us up. He couldn’t understand why Viator had sent us to the port. Everyone else on the tour was picked up from their hotels. It was a great tour that we nearly missed due to incorrect information given by Viator. Very poor Viator
