About this activity

This is a Private, Personalized Phillip Island tour conducted in a Well-Appointed 8-seat vehicle; hosted by an extraordinary tour guide.
*Pick up times vary throughout the year due to daylight savings as the penguins come out after dark.
October-March: Pick up time is roughly between 12.30 PM- 1.30 PM.
April-September: Pick up time is roughly between 10.30 AM-11.30 AM.
The duration of this tour is around 10-12 hours.
Please refer to this itinerary below as a guide:
• Pick up from your accommodation in Melbourne.
• Arrive at Maru Koala Park (Interactive animal park where you have the opportunity to pat and feed kangaroos, wallabies, and emus. See koalas and native birds, endangered Tasmanian Devils, and more!)
• Depending on time of the year and how hungry you are, we can stop by a charming fishing village called "San Remo", where you may pick up a sandwich or award-winning Australian Meat Pie and enjoy it by the sea.
• Cross over the bridge to Phillip Island
• Visit Churchill Island Heritage Farm (Step back in time; the 1800's at Victoria's first working farm.)
• Seal Rocks; panoramic boardwalk along the ancient Basalt cliff; overlooking the Bass Strait (one of the roughest seas in the world!).
• Depending on time of the year, we either take a short drive to Cowes; the main town of Phillip Island where you may indulge in a nice dinner. There are several restaurants to dine at from Italian cuisine to Chinese cuisine, the Local Pub, casual Fish & Chips, or Modern-Australian at a restaurant called "Harry's on the Esplanade"; or we go straight to the Penguin Parade.
• Penguin Parade (Penguins PLUS viewing- the closer viewing).
• Return to your accommodation in Melbourne.

There are optional encounters you may wish to participate in such as feeding and patting a koala while having a professional photo taken, encounters with dingoes (native Australian wild dogs), encounters with reptiles, or encounters with a "joey" (baby kangaroo); which are at an extra cost and may be organized on the day.
Upgrade to the Ranger Guided Tour at the Penguin Parade may be organized by us at an extra cost.
Child safety seats are $20 AUD per seat.

Phillip Island can be cold and windy, especially when the sun goes down. Please bring a warm jacket along.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as you'll be walking on a lot of gravel/dirt.
