Your day tour begins with hotel pickup from either Melbourne. With your guide, head to your first stop, Coldstream Dairy, to enjoy a range of tastings from this boutique dairy, whose produce is made using Yarra Valley milk. Sample Italian-style handmade cheeses, fresh feta, and yogurt from the heart of wine country. You can purchase products, as well, if you wish (own expense).
Next up is a gin tasting at Healesville’s award-winning boutique distillery, Four Pillars Gin, before continuing to a local winery for lunch. The exact location is decided on the day; you might visit Tokar Estate, Rochford Wines, or maybe Soumah, further up the hill. If you have a specific request, please advise at the time of booking, and your guide can try to arrange this (no guarantees).
After lunch, head to Dominique Portet for a bit of elegant French culture; tour the barrel room, and sample fine wines during a tasting in the cellar door. To finish your gourmet day out, head to Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery to watch chocolate being made in the kitchen through the floor-to-ceiling windows. With chocolate makers from Belgium, this chocolaterie produces some of the world’s finest chocolate. Enjoy samples, perhaps order a hot chocolate (own expense), explore the assortment of chocolate goods for sale, or wander among the orchards outside. In September and October, you can also see an installation of 40 painted kangaroos, part of the Hop for Hope campaign run by the Alannah and Madeleine Foundation.
You'll be returned to your original departure point at the end of the day.

This tour was fantastic. Our tour guide was great, and very funny : The gin tasting first up was a good way to kick the day off, the scenery was awesome, I've been to the Yarra Valley many times but haven't seen scenery like that before. Lunch was delicious, the chocolate shop at the end was fantastic and we didn't feel like we were getting rushed around like can often be the case on these tours. Best wine tour I've been on easily!!!!

Expected more for the price. That is, the tour guide didn't add much more than being a driver.

All tour destinations were excellent and very informative. Tour guide Bill was second to none, he had a wide and varied knowledge of the Yarra Valley and Melbourne. The variety of destinations is a top choice, however wine tasting at the second vineyard was only rated good by us as it lacked a personal approach with the tour party. Totally recommend Four Pillars Distillery and our guide Jeremy. Well done Bill and Wild Wombat Winery Tours. A Totally Brilliant Day. We will recommend this tour to our friends and would take this tour again in the future.

It was a great day from the pick up, to the delivery almost to our door as it was raining on our return home. Great host and hostess.All stops were worthwhile. Wonderful cheeses, gin, lots of wine and delicious chocolate to finish off the day. It was fabulous.
