Stop At: Dzibilchaltun Ruins, Merida 156782 Mexico

You will be picked up from your Merida hotel at around 9am in the morning. From there you'll head to Dzibilchaltun known as the place of "writing on stone." This Maya city is located 15 Kilometers northeast of Merida. Here, you will visit the museum, then a typical Mayan house, walk along a Sacbe, and get to the pyramids to admire the Temple of the Sun, also called Temple of the Seven Dolls. On this temple, during each March and September equinox a phenomenon known as The Sunrise occurs.

Then, you will visit the cenote Xlacah.

Stop At: Progreso Beach, Calle 82, Merida 97320 Mexico

And end the tour in archeological site we continues the visit to the Port of Progreso to enjoy and admire the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The port of Progreso, as a port of height, is the main one in Yucatán. It is located to the north, 36 km. from Merida. Currently, one of the attractions in Progreso is the boardwalk, where you will find local and international restaurants offering gastronomic diversity but always with the Yucatecan touch and you will have time for swim, shopping, time for you lunch and you will find severals a restaurant to eat your own lunch and drink a cold beer by your own. Your will then be dropped-off at your hotel in Mérida.

This was a very interesting and informative tour. Our guide spoke very good English and devoted equal time to both English and Spanish narration. I paid for a tour that included lunch thru Viator, however the local tour company said I would have to pay for my own lunch.
