Departure from your hotel to the city of Izamal, located one hour from the city of Merida. Territory founded around 550 A.D. by the Itzáes, who settled in the plains of the north of the Yucatan Peninsula and whose buildings and the network of sacbés roads stand out (white road built in Mayan antiquity). The first settlers of Izamal were people of religious, political and economic power over the vast territory of the Mayab.

Its characters include Itzamná or Zamnáe of mythical origin and great wisdom; instructor, teacher and priest of the Maya, his name means "Dew that descends from heaven" and in his honor, this place bears his name.

Before the arrival of the Spaniards, this territory was surrounded by covered pyramids, which is why it is known as "City of the Hills", as well as "The City of the Three Cultures", because it combines features in total harmony of its pre-Hispanic past, the colonial period and the contemporary era.

The city of hills, located right in the middle of the peninsula, could be the oldest colonial city, within which stand five pyramids, the main one Kinich Kakmo, as well as the Rabbit, and Izamatul Kabul.
