Uxmal, the city that has been built three times, lies surrounded by nature and was once witness to the life and customs of the Mayan ancestors who inhabited the region. It is located 62 kilometers from the city of Mérida and is considered one of the most prominent archaeological sites in the Puuc Maya area, named after the architectural style of their temples.
