Sicilian Breakfast Class - Granita & Brioche

Your host, Alanah - The host of this experience, I will be your English host/translator but the true star of the show is Peppe - Peppe has 15 years working in a Sicilian Pasticceria. He is a qualified Pastry Chef. 6 years ago he ventured into his own business specializing in Sicilian breakfast foods. He has created a cult following behind his granita flavours and brioche.

What We'll Do

We start with a morning espresso whilst your Pastry Chef Peppe runs you through the origin & tradition of the Sicilian breakfast - Granita and Brioche.

Then Peppe will run through step by step the process of creating the dough for Brioche, he will then divide it and you will be taught the traditional way to roll out your Brioche. 

Moving on then to the Granitttaaaa! Peppe will run through the process of creating 2 of the most famous granita flavors, you will get some hands on action here also. 

Finally the famous Panna cream! Where you will go through his secret and perfected recipe.

We will then move outside for tasting! You will taste up to 6 different granita flavors, Peppe will go through the most common mixed flavors and what flavors go with your panna cream to try. 

You will then pick your favorite flavour and sit down for a traditional Sicilian breakfast of Granita and Brioche. 

You will leave with take home Recipe cards for Brioche, Granita & Panna. 2 Brioche and a take home container of your favourite granita!
