Day 1

Meet our tour representative at Fiesta Americana Reforma Hotel in Mexico City.

To begin we visit the historical city of Tlaxcala, you'll be surprised by the well-preserved colonial buildings which date back to the 16th century. You have time to have breakfast and after that we enjoy a city tour.

Next in the line is arrive to the Sanctuary of the Fireflies where we stay for a while doing some activities like enjoy a delicious picnic lunch with roast beef, doing a hike in the forest with a local guide and to know the kingdom of the fungi that grow in this humid forests, have a talk on the fascinating world of fireflies and how to respect them and finally the spectacular moment to hike in total darkness to mix in the natural environment of the fireflies. Time in silence to admire a show that you can never forget.

We return to the city of Tlaxcala where a comfortable hotel awaits us. Dinner on board.

Day 2 

Start your Morning with a delicious breakfast at hotel. Next is a guided walking tour through the historic center of Tlaxcala. Free time for shopping.

You enjoy a Tlaxcala traditional food in old house in the historic center.

Next in the line is travel to Ex Hacienda de Chautla located in Puebla, it has a small 19th century castle, which is located in the center of a lake, surrounded by large English-style gardens and wooded trails. Free time to fish, paddle, relax with the view of the lake or take a walk.

Transfer to Mexico City.

  • The hike for the sighting of fireflies requires walking skills in rough terrain, besides it is a very rainy and cold place, so it is not a recommended trip for pregnant women, people with hypertension or chronic diseases, children under 5 years old or people with little ability to walk. The altitude is 9186 ft.

  • It is a rainy and cold place, you will need waterproof boots, waterproof jacket and pants
