Stop At: farmacias similares, Benito Juárez 57, Guadalupe de Tehuixtla, 62910 Tehuixtla, Mor., Mexico

In the morning, meet your guide at your accommodation in Mexico City and head to Amacuzac. One of the most important rivers in Morelos, it originates in the slopes of Nevado de Toluca and is considered an ideal place for water sports. There, with a guidance of an experienced certified instructor, we will take a 2,5-3h descent in the lower section of the river with more than 20 rapids enjoying the stunning scenery, native vegetation & fauna of the surrounding area. After rafting, we will go to a nearby village to have a traditional Mexican lunch with a local family.

From there we will go to Cuernavaca. Known as "the city of the eternal spring", this capital of Morelos state has warm pleasant climate all year round and is known for its beautiful landscapes, lovely colonial architecture, rich history & gastronomy. The city's historic center features the 16th-century Palace of Cortés, former home of Spanish conqueror Hernán Cortés and now a history museum with murals by Mexican artist Diego Rivera. Upon arrival, we will explore the historic center of Cuernavaca on foot visiting, among other attractions, its UNESCO-listed Cathedral and the former convent of La Asuncion, Palace of Cortés, Zocalo (the main square), crafts markets & beautiful parks. After a full day of discoveries, we will return to our vehicle where you can relax on the way back to your accommodation in Mexico City.

Rafting season: July to November - class III-IV (suitable for 12+ years old); December to June class II-III (suitable for 8+ years old).
