The monastery was first built in 1542, re-built in 1767 and still remains the same until then. Inside it is the miraculous icon of the Mother of Jesus Christ that was found in a beach near the town of Mykonos.
The admirable sculpture inside is made of wood hosts many icons impressing the visitor.
However the building is very old, it is still in use for any special event thanks to its great condition.

The lighthouse was built in 1891 after the sinking of an English ship in 1887, causing the death of 11 people.
At World War II, was used by Germans as an observatory.
Nowadays, it is still on use and it is visited by many tourists every day. The view from there is breathtaking.
