In 1482, he decided to moved to Milan, where he lived for 2 decades, in order to work for the ruling Sforza family as an engineer, sculptor, painter as well as an architect.

His period in Milan was very important because he left remarkable signs, such as the famous painting of the Last Supper conserved in the Refectory of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
