Brera, one of the most evocative area in Milan, takes its name from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, which highly contributed to the development of Brera as an artistic district and a place of bohemian atmosphere.

A fleeting glance to the courtyard of Brera Palace, to admire a bronze copy of Antonio Canova's statue of Napoleon as Mars Peacemaker.

Enjoy walking down the streets of the one time lively red light district, whit buildings that were well known brothels, Via Fiori Chiari, via Formentini and via San Carpoforo are now full of antique, vintage and art shops.


Pass By: Basilica di San Simpliciano, Piazza San Simpliciano 7, 20121 Milan Italy

Keep on you will see some historical palaces and the ancient San Simpliciano Basilica, one of the oldest church of the city.

You will then walk to Moscova square and pass from the famous via Solferino and via San Marco reaching Conca dell’ Incoronata, the basin that links water of Martesana canal with the Canals of the city center projected by Leonardo da Vinci.

You will just get to the newer area of Milan, where you’ll see Eataly, the famous Italian market-hall located the building of the old Teatro Smeraldo.

An unavoidable stop is at 10 Corso Como, the so called “concept shop” that become a reference point of design and lifestyle from 1990, when it was founded by the gallerist and publisher Carla Sozzani, the shopping complex combines outlets that show and sell works of art, fashion, music, furniture and books.

Last stop at the area called Porta Nuova, the futuristic urban-renewal project devised by a team of internationally renowned architects, who redesigned the area creating buildings with different functions: offices, commercial and residential luxury palaces united by a pedestrian system of gardens, squares, footbridges and bike paths.
