About this activity
Visit: Pinacoteca di Brera, Milan, Lombardy
The Brera Art Gallery is located in the Brera Palace, former convent of the Humiliati order from the 1300s. Other cultural institutions are also located here, such as the Library, the Astronomic Observatory, the Botanical Garden, the Lombard Institute of Sciences and Letters, and the Fine Arts Academy.
When Milan became capital of the Kingdom of Italy, some of the most important paintings appropriated by Napoleon in Italy came to the Brera. Most of them arrived from the Veneto, from the Sampieri Gallery in Bologna, and from the Quadreria Vescovile in Milan. In 1813, following a pact with the Louvre Museum, Brera received five paintings by Rubens, Jordaens, Van Dyck, and Rembrandt, to represent the Flemish school of the 17th century.

There were no clear instructions were to meet to begin the tour. called the local number and it was useless. My guest and I just bought regular tickets since we had been waiting for over a hour.
A much missed gem for any Renaissance art lover. No lines. Very few visitors. Go early and get closer to great works of art than you have ever been.
How would you feel if you have a voucher that says My PrePaid Voucher/Ticket and once you present it, the receptionist tells you that the Supplier, Weekend in Italy, did not pay your entrance? I was absolutely mortified because it was the first day in Milan and I had pre-booked everything for my small group. I actually tried calling the supplier the night before, and earlier that day to ask if there it came with a guided tour and if we had to be in the gallery at the time indicated, however, the one who answered was a call center and said he was going to answer by e-mail. It never came. What is worse that my friend PAID AGAIN for our entrance. I emailed Viator about a refund. I trust Viator because they did refunds for some of my bookings that got repeated, they even sent me the notifications for the double booking. However, it is their supplier, Weekend in Milan that they need to review. Brera Gallery and Library was absolutely amazing, it is best that Viator look for someone else to do this tour.
Needs guide to talk about the paintings
