Turin is one of the most culturally and historically significant cities of Italy., IT served as the first capital of Italy, and boasts of stunning architecture, piazzas, museums, and monuments. One of the most popular attractions in the city is the Turin Cathedral and Royal Palace. The Royal Palace is currently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The famous Shroud of Turin is housed in the Chapel of the Holy Shroud.
The Mole Antonelliana is a gigantic building, standing at nearly 550 ft in height. It is the tallest museum in the world and was constructed by the eminent architect Alessandro Antonelli. This building also appears on the back of the 2 cent Euro coin.
Turin is also renowned for its chocolates and gelatos. Nearly 40% of Italian chocolate is produced in Turin, and it is a must-see for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Your Experience

The tour will begin at the Central Milan Station at 8:45. An hour-long train ride at breakneck speeds will take you to Turin. Here, you will meet the expert guide who will take you on a tour of the city’s most famous attractions. Exciting tales and anecdotes of Turin will be provided by the friendly guide as you embark on the two-hour-long walking tour.
You will walk through the famed Piazza San Carlo, and see the 17th-century twin churches. You will then continue to the Egyptian Museum, which rivals its even larger counterpart in Cairo. As you reach the massive Palazzo Carignano, a multitude of 19th-century cafes can be seen. You will break for lunch before continuing the tour.
Next up is a visit to the Piazza Castello, where you will lay your eyes on the Royal Palace. You can see the golden symbol of Medusa embossed on the gates, which was believed to fend off intruders. Close to the Royal Palace is the Turin Cathedral and the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, which is houses the Holy Shroud that is believed to have covered Jesus Christ. You cannot see the original since it is not open to the public. You can, however, see a replica. Next on the itinerary is a visit the Mole Antonelliana and see the famous triangular dome and towering spire. It is visible from several parts of the city and currently serves as a Museum of Cinema.
Finally, you will get to taste some of the city’s most iconic delicacies. The delectable “gianduiotti” and pralines are some of the finest examples of chocolate in the world. No other ice cream in the world can perfectly recreate the wonderful flavors and taste of this Italian delicacy.
