Villas and gardens small-group tour in Lake Como
This tour is designed for those who want to enjoy the magic of Lake Como and do not want to give up the guided tour of two of its extraordinary Villas: Villa del Balbianello and Villa Melzi.
Villa del Balbiannello, one of the most spectacular villas of the entire lake, standing at the end of a green promontory that stretches towards the center of the lake. You will reach the villa on foot along a pleasant path of about 30 minutes that winds through the Mediterranean vegetation of the promontory. The Villa, which can only be visited on specific occasions, offers unique landscapes and rare feelings. You will learn about the men and the stories behind this artistic asset protected by the Italian Environment Fund (FAI).
After the visit you will embark from Lenno to Bellagio, where there will you will have a break for lunch.
In the afternoon, with a pleasant short walk along the lake, you will reach Villa Melzi, which with its gardens will make you love, if you still needed convincing, this enchanting lake even more. The gardens that surround the villa are in fact among the most renowned in the area, and boast numerous azaleas and gigantic rhododendrons, enclosing small spaces such as the hidden cave or the artificial pond in Japanese style. The Villa Melzi gardens also have many exotic and rare plants which alternate with secular trees, big camellia hedges, and many other species of plants.
The return back to Milan is scheduled in the late afternoon.
